Bradford twice led with goals from Paul Jewell and and Neil Tolson, but each time Leeds hit back and equalized twice, firstly from an own goal by Colin Hoyle and then Jamie Forrester, before Rod Wallace got the clincher. For Leeds, David White took over from the injured Gordon Strachan in the twenty-sixth minute and then at half time all the other players were replaced. Former Players Chris Kamara was replaced by Andy Couzens at Right Back, David Batty was replaced by Steve Hodge at Right Half, Inside Right Bobby Davison was replaced by Jamie Forrester and Inside Left Vinnie Jones came off for Mark Tinkler. Mark Beeney replaced John Lukic in goal, Kevin Sharp replaced Tony Dorigo at Left Back, Robert Bowman came on for Jon Newsome at Centre Half and David Wetherall replaced Chris Fairclough at Left Half. Rod Wallace replaced Brian Deane at Centre Forward and Noel Whelan came on for Gary Speed at Outside Left. For Bradford City, Craig Lawford replaced Wayne Heseltine at at Left Back, Graeme Tomlinson replaced Dean Richards at Left Half and Frank Stapleton took over from Neil Tolson at Centre Forward. The match raised £25,000 for the versatile Haddock, whose career was cut short by a knee injury in a League Cup Semi-Final at Elland Road with Manchester United in January 1992.
